Shaping Up Hairline

ITEM NEEDED: OUTLINER CLIPPERS AND HAIR BRUSH

These will basically be the two items that you will need.

START TO THE BASE OF THE NECK

Start at the base of the neck and move upwards towards the hair. Use the full T blade for a sharp straight line. Please note that you only have to lightly touch your neck in order to create that crisp sharp line. Too much pressure will nick and cut your neck. Do not use too much pressure. Go over to the other side and do the exact same thing.

THE BACK OF YOUR NECK OVER YOUR EAR

Next you want to continue lining from the back of your neck over your ear. Use the edge of the outliner to create a line around the ear. Tilt the liner around the ear and use the very edge of it to get the angle that you need to go around the ear. Do this on both sides of course.

SIDE OF THE HAIRLINE

Next use the edge of the outliner again to basically shape up the side of the hair. Use a mirror to get a really good angle so you can see what's going on.

BRUSH AS YOU GO

You always want to comb or brush out your hair whenever you're doing your hair line that way all of your hair is laying very flat and you make sure you get the best cut possible.

BALANCE WITH FINGER

Use one finger to balance the clippers. This way you will make accurate trims.

SHAPING THE FRONT

Start from the middle of the hairline to lowest part of the hairline. Be very careful not to push back your hairline.

FRONT NATURAL HAIRLINE

Just simply go with the natural hairline that you have and make it as crisp and as sharp as possible as you.

IDENTICAL CORNERS

Look carefully to make sure the corners are identical.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Find any curve in the hairline and straighten them out. You have to work very slowly until you reach a level where you can move a lot faster. Do not rush at all.
